Jim Herbert (Lead Pastor)
I’ve had the privilege of pastoring Emmanuel Church since 2003. I grew up just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. In 1993, I married Jill, my college sweetheart. Over the years, our love has grown to where I can honestly say she is my lover and soul mate. Our two kids were born in Omaha, NE where we pastored for five years. I’m excited about the direction Emmanuel is heading. We are working very hard to create an environment and culture where people can grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Betsy Rubadue (Connections Pastor)
It has been an honor to serve as the administrator and now the connections pastor at Emmanuel for the past six years. God has given me a heart for worship, prayer, networking, and seeing people embrace their true identity and purpose in Christ. When I am not working, I enjoy getting together with family and friends, singing, playing guitar and piano, traveling, hiking, biking, and reading. I’m married to my best friend, Joe, and we have five children here on earth and one who has gone home to heaven ahead of us. As we move into a new role as grandparents, Joe and I are joyfully watching our family grow.
Lew Halstead (Children’s Director)
Hi, I’m Lew Halstead; I grew up in Upstate NY, near the shore of Lake Ontario. I’ve been married to Angela since August of 1991 and we’ve added three great kids: Bennett came on the scene in 1998, Brighton joined us in 2001 and Belle graced us with her presence in 2008. Angela and I have known Pastor Jim and the body known as Emmanuel for several years and I couldn’t be happier to join the team as the Children’s Director. The future is buzzing with vision and the excitement of what God can do through people that embrace the challenge of doing what seems impossible!
